Singapore emerged on top with a perfect score of 0 out of 100, making it the most secure destination for travelers.

Following Singapore, Tokyo and Toronto were ranked as the next safest cities for travelers. Tokyo earned the title of having the lowest health security risk, reflecting the high quality of healthcare services available in the city. On the other hand, Toronto was praised for its overall safety and infrastructure, positioning it as an ideal destination for tourists looking for a secure environment.

On the flip side, Caracas in Venezuela and Karachi in Pakistan were identified as the riskiest cities for tourists. Caracas received the lowest safety score of 100 due to its high health security risk and poor infrastructure. The U.S. State Department even issued a “Do Not Travel” advisory for Venezuela, highlighting concerns such as crime, civil unrest, and poor healthcare facilities. Karachi, on the other hand, was categorized as having the highest personal security risk and significant infrastructure vulnerabilities, making it a risky place for travelers.

The study also noted that Japan and Australia were the only countries with two cities each in the top 10 safest cities for tourists. In addition to Tokyo, Osaka in Japan and Sydney and Melbourne in Australia were recognized for their safety and security measures. Other cities that made it to the top 10 list included Zurich, Copenhagen, Seoul, and Amsterdam, showcasing a global representation of safe travel destinations.
