Flamingo Las Vegas is making waves this spring with a significant overhaul of its iconic Go Pool area. Departing from its previous tropical aesthetic characterized by lagoons and waterfalls, the new design will embrace a modern, midcentury feel that aligns better with today’s trendy beach resort concepts. Resort officials have expressed that this vision is rooted in their commitment to offer a more sophisticated and contemporary ambiance, utilizing a fresh palette of pastels and earthy tones.
Instead of just a renovation, Flamingo executives, particularly Dan Walsh, emphasize that this is a groundbreaking project, completely reconstructing the Go Pool area. This ambitious transformation reflects not just a need for aesthetic upgrades but an understanding of evolving consumer preferences in leisure environments.
The Jewel of the Complex: A Multi-Pool Experience
At the heart of the $20 million investment is a multi-pool complex designed exclusively for guests aged 21 and over. This sophisticated setup includes five separate pools, each independently temperature-controlled and spread across multiple levels, enhancing the overall guest experience. Among the standout features is a newly designed 30-seat swim-up bar, which promises to be a social hub within the aquatic landscape.
Additionally, the revamped space will include 33 VIP cabanas featuring in-water couches and daybeds, allowing visitors to lounge in style. The incorporation of cool-deck surfacing, engaging night lighting, and an exceptional sound system for live DJ performances signals that this space is not just about relaxation—it’s a vibrant social scene set to redefine party culture in Las Vegas.
One of the most enthralling aspects of the redesigned Go Pool is the planned inclusion of a dramatic 50-foot-wide “rain curtain” waterfall. This design element is not just visually striking, but it also facilitates a serene retreat for guests looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the Vegas Strip. Moreover, 55 palm trees and a variety of 35 additional tree species will be incorporated to provide a lush, green atmosphere, which contrasts beautifully with the modern architecture.
This natural aesthetic alongside contemporary design is set to create a unique and captivating environment where guests can socialize, relax, and enjoy the sun, making it a perfect retreat for visitors and locals alike.
Complementing the pool’s upgraded features is a reimagined culinary menu that encourages sharing. Poolside bites will be available, along with an array of signature cocktails, including frozen daiquiris and mojitos, reinforcing the relaxed yet festive vibe of the space. The aim is to provide diverse options that cater to all tastes while maintaining a cohesive and luxurious experience for guests.
As part of Flamingo’s larger transformation initiative, which also includes new dining options like Pinky’s by Vanderpump and Gordon Ramsay Burger, the Go Pool is poised to become a premier destination for both hotel guests and day visitors. With its commitment to quality service and innovative design, the Flamingo Las Vegas is set to redefine how we think about poolside leisure in Las Vegas, ensuring that every guest, whether they’re part of the hotel or not, leaves with unforgettable memories.
