Princess Cruises has introduced a new ship-within-a-ship suite category called The Sanctuary Collection on their Sun Princess and Star Princess ships. This collection promises an exclusive and luxurious experience for guests, with access to top-deck retreat areas, private dining options, and upscale stateroom accommodations. The Sanctuary Collection is set to debut in October, starting with the Sun Princess sailing from Fort Lauderdale.
One of the key features of The Sanctuary Collection is the Sanctuary Club, a private area reserved exclusively for guests of this collection. Accessible via a private entry, the Sanctuary Club offers lounge furniture, private cabanas, a pool and hot tub, as well as attentive service. Guests can enjoy exclusive programming such as sunrise yoga and sail-away receptions, adding to the overall luxury experience.
Stateroom Options and Additional Benefits
The new suite collection includes three types of staterooms: Signature Collection Suites, Mini Suites, and Premium Deluxe Balconies. Guests will also have priority access to specialty restaurant reservations and premium stateroom amenities. The Sanctuary Collection also includes the Princess Premier bundle, which offers a Premier beverage package, WiFi, dining credits, photo package, and Princess Prizes credit.
According to Princess Cruises President, John Padgett, The Sanctuary Collection aims to provide guests with ultra-private, high-end resort-like spaces that exceed the offerings of similar ship-within-a-ship amenities on other cruise lines. The staterooms in the Sanctuary Collection on the Sun and Star ships went on sale in April, with guests who booked before that date receiving additional amenities at no extra cost.
In addition to The Sanctuary Collection, Princess Cruises will be introducing changes to dining options on all their ships. Starting in September, guests will have the flexibility to dine at any time they choose in the main dining rooms, including traditional seatings, nightly reservations, or walk-in options.
