Analysis of Trump Organization’s Expansion in Oman and Saudi Arabia

The Trump Organization, in collaboration with luxury real estate developer Dar Global, is set to launch a new resort in Oman by December 2028. This partnership with Oman’s state-run tourism-development arm, Omran Group, marks a significant investment in the hospitality sector, with the project forming part of the AIDA mixed-use complex currently under construction near downtown Muscat.

The Trump International Oman will feature a 140-room luxury hotel complete with an 18-hole golf course, a members-only club, various dining options, banquet and meeting facilities, a spa, and a nightclub. Additionally, guests will have access to a private beach, ensuring a high level of exclusivity and luxury. Eric Trump, the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, has stated that the project will bring sophistication, impeccable service, and exclusivity to Oman, positioning the country as a premier global destination.

In addition to the Oman project, the Trump Organization and Dar Global have also announced a joint venture in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the development of Trump Tower Jeddah. While details about this project remain scarce, Dar Global’s CEO, Ziad El Chaar, has highlighted the collaboration’s aim to attract international investors and vacationers to the region. This move comes at a time when the Trump Organization’s hospitality portfolio is experiencing a period of contraction, with its property count decreasing from 15 in 2015 to just eight today.

The expansion of the Trump Organization into Oman and Saudi Arabia signifies a strategic shift towards the Middle East region, tapping into the growing demand for luxury hospitality offerings. By partnering with established developers like Dar Global and government authorities such as Omran Group, the organization aims to leverage local expertise and resources to create world-class resort properties that cater to the discerning needs of global travelers.

The Trump Organization’s foray into Oman and Saudi Arabia represents a bold move to expand its presence in key markets within the Middle East. With a focus on luxury amenities, exclusive services, and strategic partnerships, the organization is poised to redefine the hospitality landscape in these regions while enhancing its global brand reputation. As these projects progress towards completion, they are likely to set new benchmarks for quality, innovation, and sophistication in the luxury hospitality sector.
