Taylor Swift fans, also known as Swifties, now have a new destination to immerse themselves in the world of their favorite artist. Champagne Problems, a Swift-themed speakeasy located at 207 Bowery in the Lower East Side, provides a unique space for fans to gather and celebrate their love for Taylor Swift outside of her touring schedule. The ambiance of the venue aims to transport guests into a world of Swiftie fandom, with hidden doors, eclectic decor, and subtle hints of Taylor Swift’s personal touch throughout the space.
Upon entering Champagne Problems through a disguised chip wall, guests are welcomed into a whimsical setting filled with surprises at every corner. The venue features a Moet & Chandon vending machine offering mini 187ml bottles of Champagne, an oversize Champagne coupe filled with ping pong-sized bubbles for photo opportunities, and a contemporary mural featuring portraits of iconic figures like Beyonce and Jay-Z. The space is designed to cater to both intimate gatherings and larger groups, with plenty of seating options for guests to enjoy the unique atmosphere.
Champagne Problems is not just a place to enjoy drinks and food, but a visual and sensory experience for fans of Taylor Swift. The venue incorporates subtle nods to Swift’s music and style, with Easter eggs hidden throughout the space for dedicated fans to discover. From a gallery wall of framed photos of famous Champagne drinkers to a television playing Swift’s music videos on mute, every detail is carefully curated to create a social media-friendly aesthetic that encapsulates the essence of Taylor Swift’s brand.
In addition to its unique design elements, Champagne Problems offers a menu that ties in with the overall theme of the venue. Inspired by the chip-themed entryway, the food menu features dishes served alongside a bag of chips, adding a playful twist to the dining experience. While the menu may not have direct ties to Taylor Swift herself, the creative pairing of dishes like Potato and Eggplant Frites with Doritos Cool Ranch Dressing and Korean fried hot dogs with Ruffles adds a fun and unexpected element to the dining experience.
Champagne Problems is open Tuesday through Sunday, beginning at 5 p.m. Guests can enjoy dinner until 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with drinks served until 2:00 a.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, dinner is available until midnight, and drinks are served until 3:00 a.m. Whether you’re a die-hard Taylor Swift fan or simply looking for a unique and memorable night out, Champagne Problems offers a one-of-a-kind experience that combines music, art, and culinary delights in a vibrant and welcoming setting.
