The airline’s Managing Director of Sales Technology and Global Sales Support, Sara Reid, emphasized that Delta is in no rush to implement a GDS surcharge or remove content prematurely from systems using legacy Edifact technology. In order to ensure a successful transition to NDC, Delta has engaged in discussions with various stakeholders such as travel agencies, Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), and corporate clients. Unlike American and United, Delta has been cautious in its approach to NDC adoption.
