Universal Studios is set to launch new, immersive experiences that will transport guests into the magical world of “Wicked.” This exciting addition to the theme parks is in celebration of Universal Pictures’ release of “Wicked” on Nov. 22. Guests will have the opportunity to step into the iconic locations and scenes from the film, truly feeling like they are part of the story.
The “Wicked” experiences are set to debut at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort in late October. At Universal Orlando, guests can enjoy “Wicked: The Experience” at the former UNIVRS store near the entrance of Universal Studios Florida. The space will be transformed into locations such as Shiz University and the Emerald City from the film, complete with authentic props and costumes.
In Universal Studios Hollywood, both the Feature Presentation store within the park and the UNIVRS store at Universal CityWalk Hollywood will be revamped into thrilling “Wicked” experiences. Guests can expect to see an array of props, costumes, and even a special photo opportunity. Furthermore, the Universal Cinema at CityWalk will showcase costumes from the movie once it premieres.
To enhance the “Wicked” experience, both Universal Studios locations in California and Florida will offer specialty dining options inspired by the film. Visitors can also indulge in “Wicked” themed treats at Voodoo Doughnuts and the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen in CityWalk. Additionally, exclusive merchandise will be available for purchase, allowing fans to take home a piece of the magic.
Universal Studios is not stopping there – “Wicked” experiences will soon be making their way to Universal Studios Singapore and Universal Studios Japan in the upcoming year. This expansion will bring the enchanting world of “Wicked” to fans around the globe, allowing them to immerse themselves in the beloved story and characters.
