Our staycation in Penang was a short but incredibly luxurious experience. With just 48 hours in Georgetown, we knew we had to make the right decisions to ensure a perfect trip. With a Deluxe Suite in the Heritage Wing offering stunning ocean views, a complimentary mini bar, and a Nespresso coffee machine, we knew we were in for a treat. The E&O lived up to its reputation as the premier address in Georgetown, providing us with a comfortable and elegant stay.

When it came to dining options, we were spoiled for choice in Georgetown. However, we made the decision to dine at Restaurant Au Jardin, a Michelin-starred restaurant known for its blend of nature and French cuisine. Their Green Menu, which can be adapted for vegans, showcased locally sourced plant-based ingredients in a creative and delicious way. The intimate dining room and attentive staff added to the overall experience, making our meal at Au Jardin truly remarkable. This plant-based fine dining experience was a highlight of our staycation, and we are already planning our next visit to Penang around dining at this exceptional restaurant again.
Relaxation and Rejuvenation
After exploring every corner of Georgetown, we knew we needed some rest and relaxation. Tower Spa, located on the 67th floor of the Komtar Tower, offered us a serene and tranquil escape. The spa’s menu of wellness treatments, including massages and body work options, allowed us to indulge in a 2.5-hour couples package called ‘My Love’. From foot massages to aromatherapy massages, every moment at Tower Spa was pure indulgence. The breathtaking views of Georgetown and Penang Hill added to the overall spa experience, making it a truly unforgettable way to end our luxury staycation in Penang. Tower Spa undoubtedly lived up to its reputation as the number one luxury spa in Georgetown.
In just 48 hours, we experienced the epitome of luxury in Penang. From our opulent stay at The Eastern & Oriental Hotel to our exquisite dining experience at Restaurant Au Jardin and our rejuvenating spa session at Tower Spa, every moment was filled with comfort and indulgence. While Penang has much more to offer beyond Georgetown, our short staycation proved that there was more than enough to keep us enchanted in this UNESCO World Heritage City. We left Penang with memories of a perfect luxury staycation that will stay with us for a lifetime.
