Exploring HX’s New Travel Advisor Portal and Online Education

Eight months after rebranding from Hurtigruten Expeditions to HX, the company has taken another step forward by launching a new travel advisor portal and online education platform. This move is part of their ongoing efforts to differentiate themselves from Hurtigruten’s Coastal Express cruises in Norway. The name change to HX was made to simplify their brand identity and make it easier for customers to distinguish between the two offerings.

The new portal offers a one-hour training program for travel advisors, covering various aspects such as destinations, sustainability, science, education, and life onboard. The training is designed to be concise and engaging, with interactive quizzes to deepen advisors’ understanding of HX’s product. Advisors who complete the training by the end of August will have the chance to win a $150 gift card, along with receiving an online travel training certificate and accreditation logo.

In addition to the training program, HX has introduced a monthly webinar series this year, focusing on destinations like Antarctica, Iceland & Greenland, and Arctic Canada & Svalbard. These webinars provide detailed information about the expedition product and will be accessible through the portal. This initiative aims to further educate travel advisors and enhance their knowledge of the unique experiences offered by HX.

Moreover, HX has recently launched a B2B help desk in May, available by phone at (866) 312-6791. This helpline is designed to assist travel advisors with any queries or support they may need while working with HX. It demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing excellent service and support to its partners in the industry.

Looking ahead, HX has promised to upload new marketing materials in September, including selling guides and destination packs. These materials will further aid travel advisors in promoting and selling HX’s products to potential customers. By continuously updating their resources and providing valuable information, HX is positioning itself as a reliable and innovative partner for travel advisors in the industry.

HX’s new travel advisor portal and online education platform represent a significant step in their rebranding journey. By offering comprehensive training programs, webinars, and a dedicated help desk, they are empowering travel advisors to better understand and promote HX’s unique offerings. With ongoing updates and support, HX is cementing its reputation as a forward-thinking and customer-centric expedition travel company.
