The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival is gearing up for its 17th Annual edition, set to take place from October 17 through October 20, 2024. This year, the festival will be presented in partnership with a new sponsor, Invesco QQQ, bringing about some exciting changes and additions to the traditional lineup. The Brooklyn-based ETF will be transforming the festival, with the Invesco QQQ Campus at Brooklyn Army Terminal as the central hub for several signature events.
One of the most significant changes for this year’s festival is the shift of iconic events like Pier Parties and Grand Tasting to the Brooklyn venue, overlooking the East River. Roughly 20% of the festival’s events will now be hosted in Brooklyn, showcasing the vibrant culture and culinary talent of the borough. The festival kicks off with a bang on Thursday with a new event, Brooklyn Eats & Beats, highlighting the culinary prowess of prominent Brooklyn chefs and restaurants.
The collaboration with Invesco QQQ has opened up new opportunities for the festival to expand its reach and scope. Festival Founder and Director, Lee Brian Schrager, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and the chance to bring together a diverse range of locations, events, and talent. The festival is not just changing venues; it is intentionally immersing itself in Brooklyn’s rich culture, inviting local chefs to showcase their talent on a broader platform.
In addition to the Brooklyn-based events, the festival will feature new venues in Manhattan, including the Hall Des Lumières in the Financial District. This landmarked building will host a variety of immersive experiences and tastings, such as Ciao House: An Italian Tasting, Mediterranean Mezze Brunch, Steak & Whiskey, and Tacos & Tequila. The festival will also take over The Lawn Club in The Seaport, offering a range of large-scale events and tastings.
The festival lineup includes events hosted by celebrity figures like actress Blake Lively, founder of Betty Booze, who will host The Betty BOOze Harvest Happy Hour. High above the city, the One World Trade Center’s Aspire One World Observatory will be the backdrop for events like Asian Bites & Karaoke Nights, A Caviar & Cocktail Affair, and Halloween Sweets & Treats. The festival’s homebase will be at The Wall Street Hotel, providing convenient access to all the exciting events happening in Manhattan.
As part of its commitment to giving back to the community, the festival will share proceeds with God’s Love We Deliver, a charitable organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to those in need. Attendees can not only indulge in a diverse range of culinary experiences but also contribute to a meaningful cause by participating in the festival.
For those eager to join in the festivities, presale tickets for NYCWFF will be available starting on Wednesday, July 10, offering a 20 percent discount on events held at the Invesco QQQ Campus at Brooklyn Army Terminal. General ticket sales will open to the public on Monday, July 15, giving everyone the chance to be a part of this exciting culinary extravaganza.
The Food Network NYC Wine & Food Festival promises to be a celebration of culture, talent, and delectable cuisine, set against the backdrop of two iconic New York boroughs. With new venues, exciting events, celebrity hosts, and a charitable mission, this year’s festival is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience for food lovers and festival-goers alike. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this culinary journey!
