Additionally, each suite will feature a complimentary bar stocked with guests’ preferences, including alcohol. Dennis Nienkerk, a luxury travel advisor, referred to the pricing as “insane” and mentioned that he would not sell it to clients. Similarly, Mary Jean Tully, CEO of Tully Luxury Travel, highlighted that potential clients are hesitant due to the lack of all-inclusive options. However, Four Seasons Yachts remains committed to differentiating itself in the luxury cruise market by offering a new category of luxury lifestyle travel.
With the guidance of former Azamara CEO Larry Pimentel, Four Seasons Yachts aims to create a unique cruising experience on a 95-suite ship that will sail in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. The brand’s commitment to innovation is reflected in its partnership with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri to construct its first ship, with plans for two more in the pipeline. While some industry experts believe that the a la carte pricing may evolve to include meal upgrades, others view it as a bold strategy to appeal to ultra-high-end consumers who seek exclusivity and personalized service.
