Revolutionizing Cruise Travel Booking

Revolutionizing Cruise Travel Booking

Tour operator Avanti Destinations is shaking up the way travel advisors book pre- and post-cruise experiences with the introduction of a user-friendly microsite. This innovative platform aims to simplify the process of arranging hotel stays, sightseeing tours, and activities for independent travelers.

Avanti’s microsite is specifically catered towards travel advisors who are more experienced in booking cruises than land packages. With a wide array of options available in 63 port cities, advisors can easily customize their clients’ travel itineraries. For instance, in Barcelona, there are 49 hotels and 37 tours/activities to choose from, while Kyoto boasts 26 hotels and 47 tours/activities.

One of the standout features of the microsite is a tutorial that guides advisors on how to efficiently navigate the platform. By entering essential details such as the cruise line, sailing date, ship name, and length of the cruise, advisors can swiftly select their preferred hotel, room type, and number of nights. The microsite also automatically suggests appropriate transfer options for harbor, hotel, and airport locations.

Nate Guilfoyle, Avanti’s director of web services, emphasized that the goal of the microsite is to provide a seamless booking experience for travel advisors. By offering a straightforward interface and a hassle-free booking process, Avanti aims to encourage advisors to explore more of their FIT services for future trips.

Once all selections have been made, the microsite displays the final price, allowing advisors to add their agency fee and trip protection costs. When sharing the completed itinerary with clients, the total price is presented without revealing the agency fee or commission separately. This level of transparency ensures that both advisors and clients are fully informed about the cost breakdown.

Avanti Destinations’ microsite is a game-changer for travel advisors looking to elevate their cruise booking services. With its intuitive features, extensive options, and transparent pricing model, this platform is poised to revolutionize the way pre- and post-cruise experiences are arranged. Travel advisors can now streamline their booking process, provide customized itineraries, and offer a seamless booking experience for their clients.
