Spirit Airlines has announced that they will be launching new fare bundles next month in an effort to cater to a wider range of travelers. These new bundles are set to go on sale on August 16, with flights beginning on August 27. CEO Ted Christie expressed his excitement about delivering an elevated experience that is affordable and offers unparalleled value to passengers.
The first bundle, named Go, will include a personal item that fits below the seat. However, customers will need to pay extra for a checked bag, seat selection, WiFi, snacks, and beverages. Unlike Spirit’s current unbundled tickets, the Go bundle will not allow a carry-on, even for an additional fee. The Go Savvy bundle allows passengers to choose between a carry-on or checked bag, with free standard seat assignments. Additional purchases will be required for snacks, drinks, and WiFi. This bundle closely resembles Spirit’s current Economy Bundle.
The next level bundle, Go Comfy, will provide passengers with seat selection, a blocked adjacent middle seat, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, nonalcoholic beverages, a small snack, and Group 2 early boarding. Those who opt for the top-end bundle, Go Big, will have the luxury of sitting in the spacious Big Front Seat at the front of the cabin. This bundle includes WiFi, Group 1 priority boarding, and all the features of the Go Comfy bundle. Go Big is similar to the airline’s existing Big Front Seat Bundle, but with added perks such as included WiFi, food, and beverages, as well as a checked bag.
Along with the introduction of the new fare bundles, Spirit Airlines will also be rolling out designated priority check-in lanes at more than 20 airports starting August 27. These lanes will be accessible to Go Big passengers, Gold-level members of the Free Spirit loyalty program, and holders of the Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard. This move aims to further enhance the overall passenger experience and provide added convenience at the airport.
Spirit Airlines’ new fare bundles represent a significant shift towards offering passengers more choices and flexibility when it comes to their flying experience. The introduction of these bundles, along with the added perks and priority services, demonstrates the airline’s commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and providing value for money.
