The Allura: Oceania Cruises’ Newest Ship

Oceania Cruises has announced a change in plans for the debut of its newest ship, The Allura. Originally scheduled to set sail on its inaugural cruise on July 25, 2025, from Trieste, Italy, the date has been pushed up to July 18, 2025. This shift in schedule comes as a surprise to many, especially to guests who had reserved spots on the original maiden voyage departing on July 2.

The Allura’s six-day voyage to Athens will include stops in Rijeka and Dubrovnik, Croatia; Ravenna, Italy; and Kotor, Montenegro. This unique itinerary offers guests the opportunity to explore a variety of stunning destinations along the Adriatic coast. With these stops, passengers can experience the rich history, culture, and beauty of each port of call.

Culinary Innovations

One of the highlights of The Allura’s dining experience will be the introduction of a new creperie, a first for the Oceania brand. Executive culinary directors Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale are leading the charge in developing over 300 new recipes for the ship’s dining room. Guests can look forward to indulging in made-to-order crepes, waffles, and sundaes in the afternoons, adding a touch of sweetness to their cruise experience.

In addition to the revised inaugural cruise date and itinerary, Oceania Cruises is launching a four-day taster cruise from New York to attract newcomers to the brand. This roundtrip sailing from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4, 2025, will give first-time cruisers a taste of Oceania’s luxury and hospitality. The cruise line is committed to continuously expanding and enhancing its offerings to provide guests with unforgettable experiences on board.

Oceania Cruises’ decision to advance the launch date of The Allura and introduce exciting new culinary options demonstrates its dedication to innovation and guest satisfaction. The changes in schedule and itinerary, along with the addition of a taster cruise, showcase the cruise line’s commitment to providing exceptional experiences for both loyal customers and newcomers alike. With The Allura’s debut just around the corner, anticipation is building for what promises to be an unforgettable voyage on this state-of-the-art ship.
