The Exciting New European Cruise Options by Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line is shaking things up in its 2026 spring and summer seasons by introducing three new ports of call to its European itineraries. These new ports include Portree, Scotland; Leirvik (Stord), Norway; and Palamos, Spain. By adding these destinations to their lineup, NCL is giving passengers the opportunity to explore lesser-known gems in Europe.

One of the highlights of NCL’s new European offerings is the extended overnight stays in various ports. With a total of 22 overnights scheduled during the season, passengers have the chance to fully immerse themselves in destinations such as Reykjavik, Iceland; Copenhagen, Denmark; Istanbul, Turkiye, among others. These extended stays allow for a more in-depth exploration and a deeper connection to each location.

The Norwegian Sun will be embarking on a full Baltic season with a series of seven- to 10-day open-jaw cruises departing from Copenhagen, Denmark. Additionally, Helsinki will serve as a homeport for the first time for NCL. With select nine-day itineraries, passengers can enjoy overnight stays in Copenhagen, adding to the flexibility and convenience of the cruise experience.

Norwegian Sky will be cruising a seven-day open jaw itinerary starting in Le Havre, France, and ending in Copenhagen, with an overnight stop in Hamburg, Germany. The itinerary will also include visits to Zeebrugge, Belgium; Tilbury, England; IJmuiden, Netherlands, as well as 10- and 11-day cruises in the British Isles, including a debut call in Portree, Scotland. The ship will also offer new seven-day Western Mediterranean sailings, providing passengers with the opportunity to explore Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia), Nice/Monaco (Villefranche), Marseille, Messina, Salerno, Livorno, and more.

The Norwegian Dawn will introduce a new open-jaw itinerary with no sea days, starting or ending in Barcelona or Lisbon. Passengers can look forward to late departures from Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza, Spain; Portimao, Portugal; Gibraltar, and other exciting destinations. This itinerary offers a seamless and action-packed journey through some of the most picturesque spots in Europe.

The Norwegian Gem will be setting sail from Barcelona, making its debut call in Palamos, Spain. This itinerary will also include stops in Salerno, Italy, and Nice/Monaco, giving passengers the chance to explore lesser-known yet stunning destinations. The Norwegian Gem is all set to unveil hidden gems and offer a unique cruising experience to its passengers.
