Virgin Voyages’ fourth ship, Brilliant Lady, is set to make its debut in New York City in September 2025. This marks the beginning of its inaugural season, offering an experience unlike anything the cruise line has provided before. The ship will sail from multiple U.S. homeports, adding to the convenience and accessibility for travelers looking to embark on a unique journey.
The Brilliant Lady will kick off its season with five cruises from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, ranging between 5 and 13 nights. These voyages will include destinations such as Bermuda and Canada/New England, promising a diverse and exciting experience for passengers. In addition, the ship’s maiden cruise is scheduled to depart on September 5, creating an air of anticipation and excitement among travelers.
Following its initial sailings, the Brilliant Lady will embark on a series of voyages from October 2025 to March 2026. These 17 trips will range from 7 to 12 nights and will include Caribbean destinations such as the ABC islands, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and Cartagena, Colombia. Additionally, a special 16-night Panama Canal crossing from Miami to Los Angeles is planned for March 2026, adding a touch of adventure and exploration to the itinerary.
After its time on the Pacific Coast, the Brilliant Lady will head to Seattle for a summer of Alaska cruises. Details of these itineraries are yet to be revealed, but Virgin Voyages promises an unforgettable experience among the glaciers and fjords of Alaska. To meet the high demand for Alaskan voyages, customers can secure their priority window by submitting an early deposit starting May 8. This opportunity allows travelers to ensure their spot before the cruises open for public sale, giving them a sense of exclusivity and anticipation.
The Brilliant Lady is named to celebrate “the powerful intelligence of women across the globe,” highlighting Virgin Voyages’ commitment to inclusivity and diversity. The ship’s design includes an adapted frame that enables it to navigate through the Panama Canal and explore the unique landscapes of Alaska. The signature mermaid painted on the bow pays homage to historic Renaissance paintings and draws inspiration from traditional Japanese and Chinese art, fashion, and beauty, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall aesthetic of the ship.
