Singapore Airlines has recently made changes to its in-flight policies following a turbulence incident that resulted in an emergency landing in Bangkok. The SQ321 London-Singapore Boeing 777-300ER flight, which encountered severe turbulence over Myanmar, has been diverted away from that area in subsequent flights. Flight data shows that recent flights have taken a route south of Myanmar, over the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. These changes are likely a response to the safety concerns raised by the turbulence incident.
Tragically, a 73-year-old British man lost his life due to a suspected heart attack during the turbulence incident. Additionally, 104 passengers sustained injuries, with around 20 individuals remaining in intensive care as of Thursday.
