The Rise of Aman’s Sister Brand, Janu, and Aman’s Foray into Cruise Segment

The Rise of Aman’s Sister Brand, Janu, and Aman’s Foray into Cruise Segment

Aman, the renowned luxury hospitality group, is venturing into new territory with the launch of Janu Tokyo, the first property under its Janu brand. Unlike the exclusive and retreat-like ambiance of Aman properties, Janu aims to be more inclusive and community-integrated. With a higher room count, a more colorful design aesthetic, and a more approachable price point, Janu seeks to attract a different audience while still maintaining a focus on elevated service and wellness offerings.

At Janu Tokyo, guests can enjoy eight food and beverage outlets that are open to both the public and hotel guests. The property boasts a 43,000-square-foot Janu Wellness Centre, featuring state-of-the-art amenities like a gym, pools, a boxing studio, and private spa houses. While Janu may differ from Aman in certain aspects, such as design and pricing, it still upholds the commitment to providing exceptional service and wellness experiences.

A Growing Portfolio

With plans for expansion, Janu already has a strong pipeline of 12 properties in the works. Much like Aman loyalists who seek to collect stays at various Aman-branded properties, guests are expected to be drawn to the unique experiences offered by Janu. The brand aims to cater to both resort and urban markets, providing opportunities for guests to embark on a circuit of journeys and create lasting memories.

In addition to introducing Janu, Aman is breaking new ground with its entry into the cruise segment. Teaming up with Cruise Saudi, a venture by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Aman at Sea is set to launch in 2027 with a 50-suite luxury vessel. Offering a private super yacht-like experience, Aman at Sea will focus on flexibility, allowing guests to choose their arrival and departure dates. The vessel will feature amenities such as multiple dining venues, an Aman Spa, a Japanese garden, and two helipads.

As Aman continues to innovate and expand its portfolio, the introduction of Janu and Aman at Sea marks an exciting time for the luxury hospitality group. With a focus on creating unique and memorable experiences for guests, Aman is poised to redefine luxury travel and set new standards in the industry. By catering to different market segments and exploring new avenues such as cruising, Aman is demonstrating its commitment to staying ahead of the curve and meeting the evolving needs of travelers worldwide.
