Exploring the Galapagos Islands with &Beyond

Embark on a luxurious expedition in the Galapagos Islands with the newly launched &Beyond Galapagos Explorer. This 38 m (124 ft) yacht offers exclusive experiences with just six suites and cabins, catering to a maximum of 12 guests. With two expert guides on each departure, guests will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of this unique destination in a responsible and sustainable manner.

The Galapagos Islands are known for their unparalleled biodiversity, making them a natural choice for the expansion of &Beyond’s South America portfolio. Executive Chairman & CEO, Joss Kent, expresses excitement about bringing responsible tourism to this protected area. By limiting the number of operating licenses, the Ecuadorian government has successfully prevented over-tourism, allowing for a more intimate and immersive experience for guests aboard the Galapagos Explorer.

Exclusive Experience on the Galapagos Explorer

With only 12 guests on board, the Galapagos Explorer offers the most exclusive yacht experience in the islands. The elevated guest-to-staff ratio ensures personalized attention and top-notch service. The yacht features beautifully appointed indoor and outdoor guest areas, as well as four cabins and two luxury suites. Currently undergoing refurbishment, the Galapagos Explorer is set to sail on its inaugural journey on 17 June 2024.

Situated on the equator, the Galapagos Islands are a haven for unique flora and fauna. Designated a World Heritage Site, the islands boast a remarkable variety of species, including the iconic Galapagos giant tortoise, marine iguana, and blue-footed booby. Each island has its own distinct ecosystem, with conservation measures in place to protect the delicate balance of nature.

Itineraries and Highlights

The &Beyond Galapagos Explorer will operate on two 7-night itineraries, offering guests the choice of exploring the east or west of the main cluster of islands. Highlights of the eastern route include Kicker Rock and sightings of the waved albatross on EspaƱola Island. The western route features Sombrero Chino Island and encounters with the Santa Fe land iguana on Santa Fe Island. Both itineraries provide opportunities for snorkeling, hiking, birdwatching, and encounters with unique species.

&Beyond’s commitment to conservation extends to its new base of operations in the Galapagos. The company will apply its Care of Land, People, and Wildlife ethos to support projects that protect the unique land and wildlife of the islands. Additionally, &Beyond aims to contribute to community development by training and upskilling local residents and promoting local procurement opportunities.

Explore the wonders of the Galapagos Islands aboard the &Beyond Galapagos Explorer and experience luxury, adventure, and conservation in one unforgettable journey.
