Announcing the Skift Transatlantic Summit 2026 in Dublin

The transatlantic travel corridor is the most valuable in the world. It is also the most exposed. US inbound demand is softening, US-Europe relations are shifting under everyone’s feet, and AI is rewriting how travelers find and book everything. The leaders who plan for that now will own the next decade. The ones who wait will spend it reacting.
That is the conversation happening at the Skift Transatlantic Summit 2026, themed Travel in a Fractured World. The second edition of the summit moves across the Atlantic: after launching in New York, it convenes this year in Dublin. An invite-only gathering on October 15 at Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links, Dublin, in partnership with the European Travel Commission and hosted by Tourism Ireland.
“It’s clear that the summit struck a meaningful chord with industry leaders on both sides of the Atlantic. I’m especially grateful for the attention to detail and the seamless organization that made the event not only engaging but also truly memorable.”
Why Dublin
Framed by mountains and edged by a beautiful bay, Dublin is a natural gateway between North America and Europe, with direct access to major cities on both sides of the Atlantic. That makes it a fitting setting for a relationship being renegotiated in real terms, by the people in the room.
Dublin is a literary treasure, a historic powerhouse and a super-friendly old gem that’s been named Europe’s friendliest city twice by TripAdvisor. Its streets are filled with vibrant art and historic buildings, hip cafés and traditional Irish pubs. Just beyond, Portmarnock opens onto the UNESCO Dublin Bay Biosphere, where sandy beaches, coastal paths and stunning sea views showcase Ireland at its most expansive.
What We’re Tackling
Sessions, built around the decisions senior leaders are making right now:
- Demand when intent and spend have split apart,
- The geopolitics reshaping US-Europe planning,
- Capturing traveler attention as AI rewrites search and distribution,
- Airline dispersal as hubs fill and secondary routes open,
- The tourism perception gap,
- Younger AI-first traveler the industry is still underserving.
Who’s in the Room
This is a working session. We convene 100-plus senior leaders, director-level and above, from destinations, airlines, tour operators, travel sellers, online travel agencies, destination marketing organizations, and travel tech platforms, alongside the policymakers and government officials shaping the rules the corridor runs on.
“A truly insightful event that brought together American and European leaders from across the travel and payments ecosystem to explore the future of transatlantic connectivity, innovation, and collaboration.”
The 2025 inaugural summit drew 137 attendees, 79% of them director level or above, across 19 countries and 113 companies. The stage included Jon M. Huntsman Jr. of Mastercard, Fred Dixon of Brand USA, Marty St. George of JetBlue, and Miguel Sanz of the European Travel Commission.
The 2026 lineup will be announced soon.
Attendance is by application. Places are limited and reviewed individually. They are not guaranteed.
