The Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) and Arajet hosted a new destination marketing activation at Miami’s LoanDepot Park during the game between the San Francisco Giants and the Miami Marlins, featuring Dominican baseball legend Juan Marichal as the event’s guest of honor.
The initiative showcased the Dominican Republic’s premier tourism offerings to thousands of baseball fans attending the game. Visitors engaged with themed activations throughout the stadium and participated in promotions and giveaways for airline tickets and complimentary vacation stays at destinations across the country.
As part of the event, MITUR and Arajet also welcomed tour operators, travel advisors, media representatives, influencers, and tourism industry stakeholders to an exclusive experience at the stadium’s Beach Club. The gathering highlighted the Dominican Republic’s rich cultural heritage, culinary traditions, and diverse tourism attractions.
The activation marked the second collaborative event organized by Arajet and MITUR in partnership with the Miami Marlins as part of a broader strategy to strengthen the Dominican Republic’s positioning in the U.S. market and create new opportunities to promote the destination.
Throughout the event, guests gained firsthand insight into the country’s extensive tourism offerings, as well as the growing air connectivity between the Dominican Republic and the United States.
Organizers emphasized that the United States remains the Dominican Republic’s largest source market for international visitors, reinforcing the importance of innovative promotional initiatives that keep the destination top of mind among travelers and industry decision-makers.
“The United States is a priority market for the continued growth of Dominican tourism, which is why we remain committed to initiatives that allow us to connect directly with those who influence travel decisions,” said Manuel Luna, Chief Communications Officer of Arajet. “Our partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Miami Marlins provides a valuable platform to showcase the essence of our country while strengthening ties between both markets.”
Through its participation in this initiative, Arajet reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Dominican Republic’s international tourism promotion efforts and expanding the air connectivity that makes it easier for more visitors to experience the country, contributing to the sustainable growth of the nation’s tourism industry.
