Emirates plays it forward at the Yannick Noah Day at Roland Garros | News

Emirates participated in Yannick Noah Day at Roland-Garros, welcoming a group of tennis-loving young athletes from Attrap’la Balle for a behind-the-scenes experience of the iconic stadium. The young participants toured the venue, explored the annex courts, and visited Emirates’ world-class hospitality suite—Salon 310 on Court Philippe-Chatrier, while also enjoying front row access to player practice sessions on the main courts and on-court entertainment.
French tennis star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga joined the day to meet the young fans, take photos, and share in the experience, bringing added inspiration and visibility to the initiative.
As a presenting partner of the Trophée des Légendes, Emirates will continue its engagement throughout the tournament, with young athletes from Attrap’la Balle invited to take part in the coin toss for each match, marking the official start of play. The initiative also offers young participants the opportunity to meet tennis legends and interact with Emirates’ cabin crew, further reinforcing the airline’s commitment to creating meaningful, memorable experiences beyond the game. Each of the participating young athletes will also receive a piece of Emirates history, with an Aircrafted by Emirates backpack, handmade with upcycled materials from the airline’s retrofit programme.
Through these initiatives, Emirates reinforces its commitment to connecting communities through sport, using tennis as a platform for social inclusion and youth development. The airline’s partnerships with tennis foundations extend far beyond Roland-Garros. In the United States, Emirates has committed USD 2.5 million over five years to help transform community tennis courts and support youth education programmes. In the UK, Emirates, in partnership with Wimbledon, has donated GBP 7 million to support the Championing Nature programme, driving lasting change through positive community engagement and a stronger connection to nature. Meanwhile, in Australia, Emirates works closely with the Australian Tennis Foundation to help create brighter futures for disadvantaged children through tennis-based initiatives.
