Ennismore Thinks Lifestyle Brands Can Survive All-Inclusive. Mondrian Is the Next Test

When Mondrian’s first all-inclusive resort opens in Cancun later this year, it will join a small but growing set of Ennismore brands taking the model beyond Rixos, its more dedicated all-inclusive brand.
The 400-room property demonstrates Ennismore’s ambition to pull all-inclusive away from the buffet-and-wristband associations that have long defined the segment. But can one of the group’s best-known brands wear the model without losing its identity?
As of the end of 2025, Ennismore had about 60 all-inclusive resorts open, most of them Rixos, and over 20 new ones in the pipeline.
Putting the format under its other lifestyle brands is a newer effort. SLS Playa Mujeres near Cancun, the group’s first all-inclusive in the Americas, opened about 18 months ago, and Hyde runs one in Turkey. Mondrian is next.
