ILTM ASIA PACIFIC CELEBRATES ITS MOST PROLIFIC EDITION TO DATE

Opening with the news that the APAC economy will grow by 4.1% this year, ILTM Asia Pacific – organised by RX Global – celebrated its most successful event to date in Singapore this week. Over 780 curators of luxury travel representing high-net worth clients from 23 countries across the region – including Australia, China, India, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Korea – met with 780 global luxury travel suppliers throughout the event.

Event Director Polly Magraw commented: “We were privileged to have been able to facilitate 40,650 high level, one-to-one meetings this week at ILTM Asia Pacific, a 10% increase year on year. Business went on day and night throughout the week as travel suppliers and buyers met with important partners as well as forging many new relationships – the passion of the industry was palpable!”
The event opened with an impactful Forum including a presentation by Simon Baptiste, Principal Asia-Pacific Economist at Visa who, in addition to the forecast figure relating to the growth in the Asia Pacific economy (4.1%), also revealed that new wealth hubs and AI-driven fortunes are reshaping Asia’s affluent consumer base; the biggest opportunities will be found in high-growth travel corridors i.e. not just source markets, but where the high net worth are travelling to; and finally, that future growth will need sharper segmentation – not only by market, but by generation and intent.

In addition to the new hotels and destinations at ILTM Asia Pacific, over 50% of the buyers were not present in the 2025 edition. Over 50 influential media from across the region also attended, as well as important luxury travel editors and writers from Singapore itself.

New exhibitor Sri Lanka Tourism’s Chinthaka Liyanaarachchi commented: “We are taking part in ILTM Asia Pacific for the first time because we wanted a strategic focus on this growing region – it’s fantastic to be able to meet with those representing the most affluent travellers from these important 23 countries. We will definitely be back in Singapore at ILTM Asia Pacific 2027!”

Roland Faisal, President, Capella Hotel Group added: “ILTM Asia Pacific is where the region’s luxury travel community comes together — evidenced by the quality of buyers, the depth of conversations, and the calibre of media in the room. Participating in this year’s event has been a wonderful reintroduction, timely as both Capella and Patina are expanding into some of the world’s most exciting destinations.”
Ciara O’Shea, Global Director of Marketing and Communications at tulåh Clinical Wellness also said:
“ILTM Asia Pacific 2026 has been the perfect platform to launch tulåh Clinical Wellness. We met the right agents from key countries across the region, alongside the most influential media, and the response to our medically-led approach to wellness has been incredible. We look forward to building on these connections and opportunities as we strengthen our presence in the region.”

Francesca Barba, Director of Sales, Marketing & Revenue, from the family-owned Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni on Lake Como added: “As first-time exhibitors, ILTM Asia Pacific has absolutely exceeded our expectations. We are new to this market and appreciated the intimate, unhurried atmosphere of the show; it gave every conversation room to breathe. The buyers we met were well prepared and clearly understood what they were looking for. The quality of conversations has been exceptional.”

And David Boyce, Head of Luxury and Business Events, Tourism Ireland concluded: “This is one of the best shows I’ve ever attended. We came to test the waters but have now committed for the next 3 years as we have so many more partners who want to be involved.”
The luxury travel buyers were also enthusiastic in their praise. Penny Spencer, Managing Director of Australia’s Spencer Travel said: “I’ve attended travel trade shows for more than 35 years, but this is my first ILTM and it has exceeded every expectation. The calibre of the exhibitors, and the opportunity to have conversations with luxury travel partners is exceptional. More than a trade show, this is a place to build meaningful relationships, deepen knowledge and create real opportunities.”

Nicola Thomas, CEO/Owner of New Zealand’s Accent on Travel added: “I love coming to ILTM for the incredible mix of opportunities to reconnect with trusted partners, discover new experiences, catch up with old friends, and make valuable new connections.”

Kyoko Midorikawa, Director of Japan’s JTB Global Assistance Inc. commented: “This is my first ILTM and now I understand why I have always heard how easy and efficient the show is to meet such a great selection of truly luxury suppliers from across the world. The App is also so detailed and the 15 minutes meeting times are perfect.”
Leo Zhang of X-Travel in Chengdu, China added: “I have attended many ILTMs all over the world and yet again this week in Singapore, I have met still more new products from new destinations – just what my clients are looking for. The Chinese market is growing fast and ILTM Asia Pacific is not only inspirational but perfectly timed and positioned.”
Siddhesh Sood, Founder of Mumbai, India’s Rapidluxe said: “This is my third successive ILTM Asia Pacific and it just gets better and better: so many suppliers from all the regions that my clients want to visit – ILTM just makes it so easy to travel the world in 3 days.”
