Luxury Travel Surges for Soccer Fans Across Tournament Host Cities | News

As this summer’s global soccer tournament has kicked off, attendees are locking in travel plans well ahead of their national team’s first round. New data from Blacklane, the global chauffeur service, shows host cities such as Dallas rising up the table to become a record-growth city for luxury mobility. In fact, these travel trends are indicating a clear sign of how fans, executives and hospitality groups are planning around the event: earlier, more intentionally and with reliability top of mind.
Blacklane data during this year’s tournament period has shown:
Dallas chauffeur bookings are nearly four-times year over year and corporate trips are three-times year over year.
Dallas hourly bookings are growing five-times faster than standard bookings.
Similar hourly-booking demand patterns are emerging in Boston and the New York/New Jersey metro area.
Strongest consumer demand is being seen in Boston, Dallas and San Francisco.
Seattle, Philadelphia and Atlanta are experiencing the fastest corporate booking acceleration.
As companies use marquee matches to host clients, partners and VIP guests, both match-goers and business travelers are reserving transportation earlier to move through the city with greater certainty. Together, these trends showcase the momentum across both leisure and business travel that major international tournaments bring to host cities.
“One of the clearest shifts we’ve seen when it comes to this summer’s global soccer tournament is that match-goers are treating mobility as a core part of the event experience, not an afterthought,” said Kasra Moshkani, CEO, Americas at Blacklane. “When guests are moving between matches, meetings and hospitality events, they want service that can move with them. That is driving stronger demand for flexible, pre-booked hourly services while creating more opportunity for our chauffeur partners in high-demand travel moments.”
With summer travel in full swing, New York — the host city to significant matches including the tournament final in July — remains one of Blacklane’s busiest cities, fueled by sports, cultural events and general tourism. While Dallas currently leads the growth momentum for sport-related travel this summer, cities such as Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Miami and Mexico City are also seeing strong percentage demand increases as games begin to kick off.
Operating in more than 60 countries and 500 cities, Blacklane is designed to deliver a seamless ride from kickoff to final whistle. Each booking includes professional chauffeurs available for individual journeys or by the hour, thoughtful in-car amenities and a consistent high-quality experience from start to finish.
