SINGAPORE AIRLINES GOES DOUBLE DAILY FROM LONDON GATWICK | News

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is increasing flights from London Gatwick to Singapore to double daily from today until 29 August 2026, before resuming the double daily service again from 25 October 2026. This offers even more choice and connectivity to customers, as well as seamless connections to popular holiday destinations such as Bali, Thailand, New Zealand and seven gateways in Australia.
To celebrate, and following the double theme, Singapore Airlines has partnered with British artist and illustrator Lydia Leith to create exclusive Snap playing cards, the perfect companion for flights and holidays, designed for little travellers. Featuring cute illustrations of animals from destinations around the Airline’s network, the cards can be used for a classic Snap game with two players, or a memory-matching game for one. The deck is designed to spark imagination, encourage quick thinking and inspire little explorers to discover the world around them, and are exclusively available to customers flying from London Gatwick from mid-July 2026, while stock lasts.
SQ309 and SQ313 operate on the Airbus A350-900 long-haul aircraft, which is configured with 253 seats (42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class, and 187 in Economy Class). The double daily London Gatwick service complements the Airline’s existing four daily flights from London Heathrow and five-times weekly flights from Manchester. SIA will offer up to 45 direct flights a week from the United Kingdom to Singapore this summer, more than any other carrier departing from the region.
Between 1 September to 24 October 2026, SQ313 will revert to three flights a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday – taking the daily operations up to ten flights a week during this period before operating double daily again from 25 October 2026.
Mohamed Rafi Mar, Singapore Airlines General Manager UK & Ireland, said: “We’re excited to launch our double daily service from London Gatwick this summer, offering customers more choice of flights to Singapore and seamless connections from our hub at Changi Airport. On board, customers can enjoy our world-class hospitality and award-winning service, with the addition this summer of our Snap playing cards for little ones.”
The London Gatwick service launched on 22 June 2024 with a five-times weekly service. Due to its popularity, the operation quickly increased to a daily service nine months later.
Business Class customers, as well as PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members departing from London Gatwick may access the No1 Lounge, located at Gatwick North Terminal. Customers will be able to enjoy complimentary freshly prepared hot food, snacks and sweet treats, and a selection of drinks such as premium beer, wines, sparkling wines, champagne, and spirits at the fully tended bar. There is also free Wi-Fi access, restrooms with wheelchair access, meeting rooms and printing facilities.
On board, customers in Business Class can also enjoy a gourmet dining menu from Singapore Airlines’ guest chef Monica Galetti, and customers in all cabins can enjoy a limited-edition Monica Galetti dessert.
Customers can sit back and enjoy world-class service, an award-winning wine collection, gourmet cuisine, and complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi as a KrisFlyer member.
