Spring Airlines Joins DerbySoft’s Global Data Network for Flights | News

DerbySoft, an innovative global technology company dedicated to accelerating travel commerce, today announced that Spring Airlines, China’s largest and best performing low-cost carriers (LCC) in China, has joined DerbySoft’s Global Data Network (GDN) for Flights—a next-generation flight distribution model that transforms the traditional hub-and-spoke model into a true network of direct connections among all participants.
Following the AirAsia Group, the addition of Spring Airlines represents a key step for the growth of DerbySoft’s GDN for Flights. As China’s most successful low-cost carrier with a strong network connecting China with major Asian markets, Spring Airlines brings highly valuable LCC content to the network, enhancing access to one of the world’s most dynamic outbound and inbound travel markets.
Driven by the growing demand of Chinese outbound and inbound tourists, Spring Airlines has been accelerating its Asian market growth and seeking broader and more efficient international distribution reach. This partnership will support the airline’s indirect distribution strategy by enabling a single connection to DerbySoft’s GDN for Flights, allowing Spring Airlines to connect to their partner sellers while maintaining direct commercial terms with each of them.
Zhang Wu’an, the spokesperson for Spring Airlines, said: “As Spring Airlines accelerates our international expansion, scalable and efficient distribution has become a critical enabler of our growth. DerbySoft’s GDN for Flights offers a modern approach to indirect distribution, allowing us to broaden our reach across Asian markets. We’re proud to participate in this transformation of how airlines connect with travel sellers.”
Jason Sui, Divisional CEO of DerbySoft Flight, added: “Spring Airlines is one of the most influential low-cost carriers in China and across Asia, and its participation in DerbySoft’s GDN for Flights further validates the demand for a true alternative to traditional distribution models. We’re building a network where airlines maintain full control over their commercial relationships while defining the reach they need to grow. With two strong airline partners now participating and several more in discussions, we’re establishing the foundation for a transformative distribution ecosystem across the region.”
DerbySoft is currently in partnership discussions with several additional airlines across the Asia-Pacific region, with further announcements expected in the coming months. The company is also engaging with travel sellers and OTAs to participate in its GDN for Flights.
