U.S. Tourism Rebound Continues, But Asia Is a Soft Spot

Inbound travel to the U.S. rebounded again in March, extending a recovery that began in February.

The U.S. drew close to 2.5 million visitors last month, a 3.6% year-over-year increase, the National Travel and Tourism Office said on Monday. That follows a difficult 2025, when arrivals fell 5.5%.

The rebound was driven by a 6.4% jump in visitors from Western Europe — the region accounting for the largest share of inbound tourism — with gains from the United Kingdom, German
