voco Darwin Suites has officially opened its doors in the heart of the city centre, bringing IHG Hotels & Resorts’ fast-growing premium brand to the Northern Territory for the first time. The new-build hotel also marks the debut of a voco Suites product in Australia, with one- and two-bedroom suites blending the convenience of self-sufficient facilities with a productive work environment, all while retaining the playful characteristics of voco.
Located on 87 Mitchell Street, each of the 88 thoughtfully designed suites offers the space and comfort of apartment-style living backed by the consistency of a global hotel brand. All suites feature a kitchen or kitchenette, a dedicated work area and space to lounge, while the hotel lobby’s Marketplace offers locally sourced items for guests to enjoy or cook in the privacy of their own space.
Guests will also take advantage of the unique Top End vistas, with suites offering views across the ocean or city skyline, with many featuring private balconies that extend the residential feel, ideal for both extended stay, business and leisure travellers.
The guest experience is built around the distinctive hallmarks of the voco brand – ‘Come on in’, ‘Me time’, and ‘voco life,’ brought to life through voco hosts. The Aviary Bar & Brasserie offers a taste of voco’s vibrant social scene, showcasing modern Australian cuisine and regional flavours with a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the character of the local community. Guests can move through to the Aviary Bar located near the hotel lobby for crafted cocktails, wine and beverages.
Guests also have access to an outdoor plunge pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, a light-filled meeting and event space, alongside smart in-room technology, fast Wi-Fi and elevated bathroom amenities.

The Darwin opening adds to a growing portfolio of voco hotels across Australia and New Zealand, joining properties on the Gold Coast, in Melbourne, Brisbane, the Hunter Valley, Gosford and Queenstown. The brand has now surpassed 100 open hotels worldwide.
voco Darwin Suites is now open and welcoming guests, with rooms starting from AUD$230 per night.
