EASA APPROVES TAAG’S BOEING 787 OPERATIONS TO EUROPE

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has authorised the operation of TAAG – Angola Airlines’ new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on commercial services to the European airspace, as part of the standard certification and technical oversight process applicable to airlines operating flights to destinations within the European Union.

This authorisation enables the integration of the new aircraft into the airline’s European operations, marking another milestone in TAAG’s fleet modernisation programme and reinforcing the carrier’s commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
In the initial phase, the Boeing 787-9 will be deployed on the Luanda–Lisbon–Luanda route, TAAG’s principal connection to the European market, enhancing the passenger travel experience and strengthening the airline’s competitiveness on this strategic route.
According to TAAG’s Chairman, Clóvis Rosa, the approval reflects the continuous efforts undertaken by the airline to strengthen its operational and safety standards.

“EASA’s authorisation for the operation of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in Europe represents an important recognition of the technical, operational, and regulatory compliance work that TAAG has been carrying out. This achievement further reinforces the airline’s credibility among international authorities, our partners, and our customers,” said Clóvis Rosa.
TAAG will continue its ongoing technical and regulatory work to support the progressive integration of the Boeing 787 fleet into its international operations.
