Expedia to Launch Agentic AI Tools for B2B Partners

Expedia Group is preparing to launch a B2B Model Context Protocol server, a step toward allowing partners’ AI agents to connect directly to Expedia’s travel inventory.

The MCP solution “is going live very soon, in the coming months,” said Karen Bolda, chief product and technology officer for Expedia Group B2B.

MCP is a technical standard that helps AI agents connect with outside business systems and data. In plain English, it acts as an unlock for agentic AI: a way for bots to reach Expedia’s travel inventory through a structured connection, rather than numerous custom-built integrations.
