Guatemala launches travel trade training platform: Guatemala Insider | News
The Guatemala Tourism Institute (INGUAT), has announced the launch of Guatemala Insider, a new online travel trade training platform available to agents and advisors. Developed in partnership with Equator Global and Travel Uni, the platform is designed to support travel professionals in confidently selling Guatemala to their clients.
Created with the needs of the travel trade in mind, the platform features short, interactive modules that guide agents through Guatemala’s key unique selling points and destination highlights. Participants can build their knowledge, test their expertise, and access practical insights and tools to help create unforgettable itineraries.
This initiative marks a first for INGUAT and represents an important step in raising awareness of Guatemala among the travel trade globally. A key feature of the platform is its interactive AI chatbot, which enables partners to ask questions about travel to Guatemala, uncover deeper insights, and generate tailored itinerary ideas for clients interested in everything from active adventure to culturally immersive trips.

Partners who complete the course by 30th May 2026 (23:59 GMT) will be entered into a prize draw to win a six-night trip for two to Guatemala. The prize includes international and domestic flights, accommodation, activities, and transfers.
One winner will be selected from eligible participants across the UK, Ireland, Spain, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada and the US. The prize can be redeemed from 30th July 2026, with flight requests to be submitted at least one month prior to travel.
