Holland America’s Rotterdam returns to service following dry dock | News
Holland America Line’s Rotterdam has returned to service following a two-week dry dock in the Netherlands.
The cruise line’s flagship has welcomed guests back onboard for the ship’s summer Northern Europe season.
Key improvements include enhancements to 22 Vista Suites, now featuring new sofa beds, expanding quad-occupancy options.
Billboard Onboard and Rolling Stone Lounge feature additional seating, along with a redesigned central lounge, and the Crow’s Nest includes a new live music stage. A bandstand and live music stage were also added at the Sea View Pool on Deck 9.
Refurbishment work in the Effy Jewellery retail venue mirrors previous updates to those undertaken on Koningsdam, Westerdam and Zuiderdam, with new flooring, wall finishes, lighting and display fixtures. It additionally received updated pedestal and wall displays, refreshed ceiling finishes and a new central feature chandelier.
The Greenhouse Spa & Salon was modernised with an ergonomic hair-washing station and the casino now features 20 additional slot machines, refreshed seating, updated carpeting and televisions in the table games area.
In addition, new carpeting was installed across staterooms, guest corridors and public areas. In the main Dining Room, select tables have been updated to provide more flexible seating.
The main public areas throughout the ship also received updates including new furniture upholstery, as well as hand-polished wood chairs, refinished floors and new wall coverings.
Sailings on Rotterdam are included in Holland America Line’s ‘Anniversary Sale’. Running to June 1, 2026, the sale features up to US$400 onboard credit per stateroom when booked with ‘Have It All’ fares, on departures from now to spring 2027, for cruises ranging from four to 69 days. The credit can be used on amenities including speciality dining, beverages, spa services, shore excursions, gift shop purchases and onboard photography.
Holland America Line’s ‘Have it All’ package fare comprises shore excursion credit, a Signature Beverage Package, speciality dining credit, crew appreciation and a Wi-Fi Surf Package.
