Mövenpick Continues To Expand With Key International Openings | News

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, one of Accor’s premium brands renowned for its generous hospitality, joyful reconnection and convivial dining experiences, continues to expand its international portfolio with new hotels recently opened in Montenegro, Croatia, Uzbekistan and Armenia. The latest additions build on the brand’s rapid growth trajectory, with other recent debuts in Poland, Greece and Italy, and ahead of its planned launch in the UK in 2027.
Founded in 1948, Mövenpick began as a pioneering Swiss restaurant brand and has grown into an international hotel brand with food and drink at the centre of the guest experience. Today, this heritage is reflected across more than 140 hotels worldwide, where thoughtful service, welcoming spaces and a strong culinary offer bring people together.
Waterfront resort in Montenegro
Opened in May 2026, Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Teuta Kotor Bay marked the brand’s first property in Montenegro and is situated in the historic settlement of Risan. The 151-room hotel offers views of the UNESCO-protected Bay of Kotor and combines contemporary comfort with traditional Montenegrin design, using natural stone elements and warm interiors.
Guests can choose from rooms and suites with private balconies and access to a wellness area with a large indoor pool, a Finnish sauna and a steam room, as well as an infinity pool and a private beach club. The restaurant and bar serve fresh seafood, regional specialities from the Adriatic and Swiss-inspired classics. Families can also use the Little Birds Club, which offers games, arts and crafts and creative activities for children aged 3 to 12. Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Teuta Kotor Bay is located 25 km from Tivat International Airport, 50 km from Dubrovnik and 100 km from Podgorica.
Second property in Croatia
Further along the Adriatic coast, near the historic town of Novi Vinodolski, Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Kvarner Bay is expected to open in late 2026. The new hotel will feature a 14,000-square-metre Salterra Wellness & Spa, which is set to become the largest wellness facility in Croatia, with a wide range of treatments, heated seawater pools, a sauna area and a Turkish hammam. Families can also use the Sea Breeze pool park and the Little Birds Club. This upcoming opening further expands the brand’s presence in Croatia, building on the success of Mövenpick Hotel Zagreb, which opened its doors in June 2022, bringing 104 smart-technology rooms and suites to the capital’s business district.
The hotel will feature 198 modernised rooms and suites, most with private balconies overlooking the Adriatic Sea and Krk Island. Its restaurants include Figo, serving Mediterranean dishes with local Croatian ingredients and olive oil from the resort’s own grove, and Affamata, offering Southern Italian classics in a sharing-style format. Guests can also enjoy artisan coffee at the panoramic 180° lounge bar or visit the Fjaka Beach Bar, inspired by the Croatian art of doing very little.
Central city address in Armenia
Mövenpick Yerevan, the first hotel under the brand in Armenia, is located centrally in the heart of the capital and offers a range of stylish accommodation options, from junior suites, spacious apartments and even a presidential suite with panoramic city views. The hotel’s culinary offer includes Le Pont, which combines French techniques with regional Armenian flavours, and the Mövenpick Café, serving coffee, chocolate and light dishes. Wellness facilities include a spa with a hammam, a dry sauna and a fully equipped gym. The hotel also provides three meeting rooms designed for small conferences, workshops and private gatherings.
Historic location in Tashkent
Opened in May 2026, the 120-room Mövenpick Tashkent Old City is located between the historic and modern districts of Uzbekistan’s capital, just steps from Chorsu Bazaar and the Hast-Imam complex. The hotel features the Silk and Spice restaurant, offering a mix of regional dishes and Swiss classics, and hosts the brand’s signature Chocolate Hour every afternoon. Guests can use the Helvetia SPA & Wellness Centre, which includes an indoor swimming pool, saunas and massage treatments, alongside a modern fitness centre. Flexible meeting spaces with natural light and modern audio-visual technology are also available for business events.
Planned UK debut in Hampshire
Mövenpick is also preparing to enter the United Kingdom for the first time with Mövenpick Hampshire – Old Thorns, expected to open in late 2027 following an extensive renovation. Set across more than 300 acres of Hampshire countryside, around one hour from London, the 194-room resort will bring the brand’s generous hospitality and culinary heritage to a landmark estate.
The property will feature a championship-level golf course, 2,500 square metres of conference and meeting space, four restaurants, a wellness centre with a new spa, and a ballroom for more than 500 event guests. The renovation will focus on guestrooms, wellness and leisure facilities, and refreshed dining concepts, strengthening the resort’s position as a countryside destination for leisure stays, events and meetings in southern England.
Guests staying at Mövenpick properties can access ALL Accor, the global loyalty programme, offering a wide range of rewards, benefits and experiences during and beyond their stay.
