Samhi’s IKEA-Adjacent Hotel Shows Where India Will Grow

Samhi Hotels’ new property in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is spotlighting the trend of mixed-use developments driving Indian hospitality growth.

Samhi has leased the 162-key upscale hotel from Ingka Centres India, part of the Ingka Group, which also operates IKEA. The hotel will be a part of Ingka’s mixed-use Meeting Places concept, Samhi said in a statement on Wednesday. 

This mixed-use development will also house the new IKEA in Noida, real estate firm JLL confirmed to Skift. In its statement, Samhi said that the project is in “active development” and “is envisioned as a marquee project that will meaningfully enhance Noida’s skyline and further strengthen its positioning as
