Southwest Airlines CEO Bob Jordan said Monday the carrier still has low fares due to its cost advantages, despite the surging price of jet fuel. 

“At Southwest, we’re the most efficient,” Jordan said at the Semafor World Economy summit in Washington, D.C. “We have the lowest cost of the large carriers. Our costs are about 20% less than American, Delta, and United.”
