Fora Travel Is Focused on Growth and a Small Acquisition Helps Build AI Tools

Fora Travel, the host agency that brings on many travel advisors new to the industry, has done sales of some $2.3 billion in the five years since its founding.
That’s according to Henley Vasquez, a co-founder of the New York-based agency. “It took us about three years to sell that first billion, and it took us 10 months to sell the second so the growth rate is fast and getting faster,” Vasquez said during a recent Skift interview.
In fact, Fora has a presence in 93 countries, including having travel advisors in every U.S. state. It has an array of training courses to get people new to the travel industry up to speed.
In February, Fora had 15,000 advisors make at least one booking, up from 500 three years earlier. It employs 200 staff — around half of them engineers, Vasquez said.
